Is infrared sauna therapy a safe method for weight loss?

Brown fat (important because it generates fuel (heat) is more tightly packed compared to white fat (adipose fat, generally formed due to consuming excess calories) and can be broken down to produce heat. This means your fat will take up less space, appearing slimmer and will be burned from simply being exposed to the cold. Basal metabolic rate has also been shown to be increased after cold exposure (6-week time frame) meaning that you burn more calories while at rest.
